Editorial standards
Last updated: September 11, 2026
This page is the public rulebook for nobackground.app. It exists so a visitor, a reviewer, or a search engine can see who publishes here, what the writing is for, and what we refuse to manufacture.
Who writes and who operates the site
Every guide is written and edited by Ahmet C. Toplutaş, the founder who maintains the on-device background remover. The site is an independent project operated from Turkey. There is no newsroom, no guest-post program, and no outside editorial board. Questions go to the same person via the contact page.
Original work, not republished copy
Posts describe workflows we actually use: photographing products so they cut out cleanly, exporting PNG versus WebP, running a model in the browser, and scoring edges at 100% zoom. We do not scrape competitor blogs, synonym-swap a paragraph, or republish a vendor help center. Localized articles are rewritten in that language. If a translation is not finished, that URL is not published.
How we test claims
Quality claims come from a fixed image set we keep for ourselves - hair, matte packaging, glossy sleeves, jewelry wires, and one low-contrast failure case. We score subject retention, leftover background, and fringe. The architecture behind the tool is documented on how local processing works. We update a guide when the product or a marketplace rule changes, not on a calendar for its own sake.
What we will not publish
- Doorway pages that repeat the same tool pitch under a slightly different keyword (shoe, car, pet, selfie, and similar).
- English paragraphs on a localized URL, or machine-filled 'translations' that leave the original sentences in place.
- Scraped, spun, or embedded third-party articles that add no first-hand testing or commentary.
- Promises the product cannot keep, including multi-file zip upload that the browser tool does not offer.
Advertising and the tool
If ads appear, they appear on blog and other long-form pages - not on the interactive background removal tool. AdSense does not change a comparison outcome. Cookie and vendor details are in the privacy policy, including a link to how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
Corrections
If a marketplace requirement, a competitor price, or a product limitation in a guide is wrong, email cihattoplutas@gmail.com with the URL and the source. Factual fixes are edited into the same article; we do not silently swap the URL.
How topics are chosen
We write when a real job is underserved: a marketplace spec, a format decision, a privacy constraint, or a tool comparison we can run ourselves. We do not create a new landing page because a keyword tool showed search volume. Unused intent URLs from earlier experiments now redirect into the matching workflow page.
